Your Festival Guide
Local and international artists will be performing on two stages during the festival. The Beach Stage is the main one, and it’s located on the beach near the Centara Grand Beach Resort. The festival’s headliners will perform here.
The Open Stage with host performances from newcomers and is on the same street as the Hua Hin Night Bazaar. Start your evening with some shopping, stop at one of the seafood restaurants for dinner and end it with some live music.
This festival is a celebration of the musical compositions of the late and revered King Bhumibol Adulyadej Rama 9 who passed away in 2016. During his reign, he composed more than 48 songs which featured blues and jazz compositions. Hua Hin is also the home of the Royal Summer Residence, so this festival has landed in the perfect location.
Bars, Beats, and Bites in Hua Hin
The festival vibe will be reverberating throughout this resort seaside town. Most of the hotels and resorts along the beach will be participating and serving food and drinks along the beach as the musicians perform on the Beach Stage.
If you’re looking for bars to visit before, during, or after the festival, check out our coastal bar hopping post here.
For jazz lovers, we recommend going to the Elephant Bar, also at the Centara Grand Resort. Leave the beach clubs and rooftop bars behind and travel back in time. Relax and unwind with a vesper martini, be inspired by the jazz in this colonial style bar with excellent service and an impressive selection of whiskeys.
The Centara is also hosting an “All that Jazz” beach buffet dinner at the Coast Beach Club and Bistro.
Celebrations are set to continue at the Beer House at the Hilton Resort with jazz bands performing late into the night.
Take the party to the rooftop at Vana Nava Sky who’s celebrating the Jazz Festival with their Sunday Sky Brunch. It’s the perfect way to refuel, recharge and continue the party after the jazz festival. At this pan-latin brunch, there’ll be tapas, seafood, cold cuts, cheeses, and a carvery station. Listen to jazz with an endless flow of sangria and artisan cocktails from 10:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and panoramic views of Hua Hin and the ocean.
If you’re looking for a sweet fix before the festival begins, there’s an excellent high tea at the Centara Grand Resort and other places around Hua Hin. If coffee is more your thing, there’s some great spots in Hua Hin to get a decent caffeine fix before the festival starts in the evening.
